ORANGE - Norma E. (Hastings) Williams, 87 of 50 Redbrook Lane #1B, Orange, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Athol, on May 10, 1926, the daughter of the late Harry F. and the late Emma D. (Emmett) Hastings. She grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. She was a Cashier and customer Service Assistant at the former Stan’s Supermarket in Athol for many years. Norma was a lifelong resident of the Athol/Orange community. She enjoyed driving her lady friends from Redbrook Village on Sunday afternoons. One of her most favorite vacation spots was the beaches of Cape Cod. She loved nature and animals and the view from mountain tops.
She leaves three daughters: Sharon G. Burgess and her husband Timothy of Athol, Bonnie E. Fisher and her husband James of Athol, Sally A. Dodge of Athol; one son: Harold R. "Bud" Williams Jr. and his wife Diana of Cape Cod; seven grandchildren: Heather B. Bowes, Heidi E. Johnson, James "Jamie" J.W. Brown, Kyle T Burgess, Trevor J. Burgess, Joseph R. Williams and Dillon H. Dodge; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be private. No calling hours are scheduled.
