Normand J. Richard

Leominster - Normand J Richard 63 of Leominster MA passed away peacefully at U-Mass Medical Center on Saturday April 9th, after a brief illness. Born in Richibucto NB, Canada, he was the son of the late Aurele J Richard and the late Rita M (Robichaud) Richard. Normand moved to the US at the age of 11 where he lived the rest of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Leominster High School. He was a quiet man who never had a bad word to say about anyone and was liked by everyone who knew him. The field of art was Normand's first love. His natural talent for free hand cartoon characters, charcoal and animal drawings were nothing short of amazing. He was also an avid reader who loved to play and watch hockey, you could often find him at local libraries, museums, hockey rinks and coffee shops. He leaves behind his twin brother, Ray Richard of Barstow CA, four sisters: Stella Richard (Rene Boucher) of Richibucto NB, Yvonne Leger of Venice FL, Anne-Marie Richard (Guy) of Leominster MA and Carmella Norris (George) of Merrimack NH, a sister-in-law Cindi Richard of Newburyport MA and a special aunt, Rose Richard of Lawrence MA. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Christine Schueler, Robert Leger, William Leger, Ronald Leblanc, Jeffrey Richard, Jenny Richard and Steven Richard as well as many extended family members. He was predeceased by both his parents, Aurele 2001, Rita 2015 and a brother Roger 2010 As to family wishes there will be no visiting hours, a funeral mass will be held on April 30th at 11:00 am, at St Cecilia's Church, 170 Mechanic St in Leominster MA
