GARDNER - Olga (Buzdygan) Czasnowski, 91, of Gardner, died Wednesday, February 24, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA.
She was born in Poland, on August 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Ivan and the late Olena (Tkaczka) Buzdygan.
She was a Nurse’s Aide, working at Worcester State Hospital for many years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Age and the Holy Rosary Sodality.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves two daughters: Irene Ferranti and her husband Michael of Wilbraham, MA, Mary Pierangeli of Dudley, MA; five grandchildren: Paula Hanson and her husband Kurt of Worcester, Stephen Pierangeli Jr. and his wife Julie of Medway, Lisa Pytko and her companion Andrew Fanion of Dudley, Susan Naughton and her husband Matthew of Walpole, Darlene Jacokes and her husband Brian of San Francisco, CA; six great grandchildren: Nicholas & Anna Pierangeli, Travis Pytko, Mason Fanion, Thomas Hanson, Ellen Olga Naughton; several relatives in Poland.
She was predeceased by her husband Josef Czasnowski on February 13, 1976.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. in the Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Saturday, February 27, from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. in Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
