Olivette D. (Champagne) Boisvert, 83 of 170 Sixth St., died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the River Terrace Healthcare, Lancaster.
She was born in St. Samuel, Quebec, Canada on October 18, 1922, the daughter of the late Josaphat and the late Berthe (Desilets) Champagne.
Olivette moved to Leominster in 1941. She formerly worked at Foster Grant for many years and retired in 1985. She was a member of St. Cecilia´s Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Ann´s Society.
She leaves one son, Andre J. Boisvert and his wife Heather of Gardner; three sisters Doris Constant and her husband Omer of Leominster, Marie Boucher and her husband John of Leominster, and Sr. Pauline Champagne D.H.S. of Hurley, VA; one brother, Robert Champagne and his wife Georgette of Barefoot Bay, FL, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty-six years, Leo L. Boisvert in 1998; three brothers, Henri-Paul Champagne, Gilles Champagne, and Marcel Champagne, and one sister, Gertrude Beaudoin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia´s Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Cecilia´s Cemetery, Leominster.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 22, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to the Appalachian Mission, c/o Sr. Pauline Champagne D.H.S., P.O. Box 288, Hurley, VA 24620.
