Fremont Ca. – Orlando Tata, a Fremont resident since 1984 – 2021. Died on October 10, 2021, at his home. Mr. Tata was born in Leominster, Massachusetts. He was the son of Luigi Tata and Marietta (Buccilli) Tata, born September 24, 1929. He worked as a maintenance foreman at Western Airlines Which later merged with Delta Airlines for 27 years and retired in 1984. He enjoyed watching and playing sports and going to the horse racing track. He attended schools in Leominster, Massachusetts and graduated from Worcester Trade High School and New York Mergenthaler Linotype School. He served in the Army in Germany for four years, 1948-1952. Mr. Tata was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by multiple nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A funeral service was held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels on Monday October 18th in California. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 25th at 11:00am, St. Anna’s Parish, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster, MA. Burial to follow at St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster.
