Athol – Pamela J. (Frederick) Williams, 67, of 590 New Sherborn Road, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester. She was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, June 13, 1945, the daughter of Major (ret) Harold and Eileen (Conway) Frederick. She lived in ten states during her father’s Air Force career. She is a 1963 graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor, Maine. She attended Providence Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked at the Erving Paper Mill where she met her husband, John A. Williams, and married on February 6, 1965. She also worked the L.S. Starrett Company, Bank New England, and the Town of Athol in the Riverbend and Middle School Cafeterias.
Pam was a member of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, crochet, canoeing, NASCAR racing, travelling the USA, cooking, and supporting the Boy Scouts. She was an avid reader and Bruins fan. She was a volunteer at the Athol Memorial Hospital Gift Shop.
She was predeceased by her father and husband, John, of 44 years on March 8, 2009. She leaves one daughter, Lynn M. Williams of Athol and her fiancé A.J., and two sons, John F. Williams and his wife, Christine, of Baldwinville and James A. Williams and his wife, Aimee, of Athol, her sisters, Diana DeGrenier of Southampton, Katrina Tatro and her husband John, of Florida, brother Daniel Frederick of Georgia, her sister-in-law, Nancy Lake, and her husband, Jim, of Athol; eight grandchildren, Max, Cole, Shelby, Cortland, Daniel, Heaven, James, and Skyla. Additionally, she leaves her mother, Eileen Frederick of Millers Falls, and a beloved extended family, Miko Nakagawa and her sons, Richard and Michael and his daughter, Liliana. Pam also leaves an aunt, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Athol-Orange Baptist Church, 131 Ridge Avenue, Athol, MA on Tuesday, April 9 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mark Bariloni officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home 110 New Athol Road, Orange from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, April 8.
