Patricia M. Raymond
Athol – Patricia M. (Cromp) Raymond, 75, of Beacon Street, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare surrounded by her family.
Pat was born in Athol, Massachusetts, June 7, 1937, the daughter of Frederick A. and Julia (Meausky) Cromp. She has lived in Athol all her life, graduating from Athol High School in 1956. Pat was a homemaker and worked at the L.S. Starrett Company for eight years and the Athol-Royalston Regional School district for three years.
Pat was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, traveling, camping and spending time at the beach, but most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, David B. Raymond; three children, David S. Raymond, Diane Woessner and her husband James and Daniel Raymond, all of Athol; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Errin, Matt, Paige, Thomas, Daniel, Kurtis, Lauren and Carly Spaulding and her husband Sean; a step-sister, Katherine Hall of Athol and several nieces and nephews. She would have been a great-grandmother in the spring. She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Cromp and a sister, Virginia Compton.
Services will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 from Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon and calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
