GARDNER - Patricia G. Lasky, 83 of Gardner, died Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.
She was born in Oswego, NY, on September 25, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Grace (Foster) Lasky.
Ms. Lasky attended Fitchburg State College and received her Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Education. She was a third grade teacher for the Town of Westminster, where she taught for 36 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Church in Gardner, a member of the Red Hat Society, the Chair City Walkers, Retired Teachers Association of Massachusetts, the Alumni Association of Fitchburg State College, Westminster Historical Society, and the Gardner Museum.
She leaves her sister-in-law, Mary Lasky of Gardner; a niece, Donna Daunais of Rutland; a nephew, David Lasky of Hartland, VT; and several cousins and aunts.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Lasky in 1981.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 am in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5-7 at the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Westminster Historical Society, 110 Main St., Westminster, MA 01473.
