Patricia Ann (Cassidy) Macchia, 79, died Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Leominster Hospital.
She leaves her husband Joseph A. Macchia; two sons, Joseph Macchia of Oxford, and David Macchia and his wife Christine, of Westminster; one daughter Paula Fountaine and her husband Richard of Westminster; five grandchildren, Michaela Macchia, Gillian Macchia, Jason Fontaine, Michael Fountaine, and Meghan Fountaine, all of Westminster; two sisters, Eileen Smith of FL and Jean Cummings of MA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Boston on Monday, March 6th, 1944, a daughter of John and Cornelia (Roy) Cassidy.
Patricia graduated from Stoughton High School. In her youth she worked as a short-order cook, after she and Joe were married she became a stay-at-home mother.
She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church. Patricia was a very artistic lady, who enjoyed oil painting. Most of all she loved her family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473.
Patricia's burial will be private at the Woodside Cemetery, 9 Narrows Road, Westminster, MA 01473.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Patricia's name to St. Edward the Confessor Church Building Fund, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473.
