Patricia A. Meehan

ATHOL- Patricia Anne (Ryan) Meehan, 89, formally of Athol and more recently of Hingham and Marlborough MA, died peacefully Thursday June 21, 2018 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth MA. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Northampton MA to the late Thomas and Anna Ryan (Lanihan) and moved to Athol MA as a young child where she lived for most of her life. She graduated from Athol High School in 1946, Becker College, Worcester MA in 1948 and married the late Frederick T. Meehan (deceased 1979) of Athol in 1949. She was a dedicated housewife raising four children and became a member of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church where she loved to be part of the active community contributing where she could to make a difference for her Lord and Savior. Pat leaves her four children; Cynthia J. White and her husband W. Richard White, of Bonita Springs FL and Portsmouth RI, Christopher T. Meehan and his wife Cynthia J. Meehan, of Palm Coast FL and Hebron NH, Timothy F. Meehan and his wife Deborah L. Meehan, of Scituate MA, and Thomas K. Meehan and his wife Julia J. Meehan, of Fulshear TX. She also leaves six grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren that she loved dearly. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 10 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM at the Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow at the Silver Lake Cemetery.
