Patricia Anne (Morris) Prevost, 82, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, after an illness.
 
She was born in Gardner on May 14, 1940, the daughter of the late Robert E and Dorothy E. (Creighton) Morris. Patricia graduated from Gardner High School, the class of 1958, and from Boston University in 1980.
 
Patricia was a retired editor and technical writer, last employed by Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard. She had previously worked as an executive secretary at the former Guaranty Bank in Winchendon. She later was employed by Mount Wachusett Community College as executive secretary to the college's Federal Grants Administrator. 
 
She had been a member of Holy Spirit Church, a former member of the South Gardner Historical Society, and The Gardner Museum. For several years she was a volunteer for the United Way, the American Heart Association, and the Leukemia Society.
 
Since graduating from Gardner High School, she had been an active class reunion committee member. Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed home decorating, theater, and music. She also loved the beach and the ocean, swimming, and had a real passion for dancing. Although a lover of New England, Patricia did her fair share of traveling, including trips to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Arizona, California, Atlanta, Florida, and many trips to the Caribbean Islands.
 
A devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, she loved time spent with family, especially with her three granddaughters. 
 
She is survived by one son, Michael R. Raymond, and his wife Betsy of Shrewsbury; one daughter, Deborah E. Tierney, and her husband Thomas of Mendon; three granddaughters, Hillary (Raymond) Hajjar and her husband Nicolas of Norwood, Sarah and Catherine Tierney of Mendon; one great-grandson, Cameron Hajjar; one brother, Creighton R. Morris and his wife Grace of FL; one sister, Virginia (Morris) Jengo and her husband Peter of Phillipston; one nephew, Christopher R. Morris and his wife Nicole of NC; two nieces, Shelley Lavalle and her husband Phillip of FL, and Jessica Corio and her wife Kelly Corio of Worcester; three great-nephews, Gavin Lavalle of FL, Twins Colin and Jameson Morris of NC; one great-niece Sierra Lavalle of FL. Patricia also leaves several cousins from the Gardner area. 
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11 am in Holy Spirit Chapel of Annunciation Parish, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner, MA 01440. 
 
Burial will be in the spring at St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.  
 
There are no calling hours.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Patricia's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of one's choice.
