ORANGE- Paul A. Batutis, Sr., 68, of Orange, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
He was born in Gardner, on February 6, 1950, son of the late John and Antena (Baublis) Batutis. Paul graduated from Greenfield Trade School in 1969 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He was employed by the Athol Fire Department throughout the 1980’s and the L.S. Starrett Company. Paul enjoyed cooking on Sundays, watching movies with his sons and visiting with neighbors in the Trailer Park.
Paul leaves two sons, Paul A. Batutis., Jr. and his wife, Nora of Athol, and Peter A. Batutis and his wife, Deborah of Gardner; his grandson, Alex Batutis of Athol; two brothers, Charles Batutis of Orange, and John Batutis of VT; his sister, Maryanne Dodge of FL; nieces and nephews; and his friend and caregiver, Kara Bowers, as well as his beloved parakeet Sammy. He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty (Nault) Batutis and his second wife of 33 years, Sharon (Bouchard) Batutis, and a sister, Joanne Batutis
