GARDNER - Paul M. Grucan, 89 of Gardner, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in the Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.
He was born in Templeton, on April 17, 1926, the son of the late John and the late Rose (Dlugakenska) Grucan.
Mr. Grucan was raised and educated in Templeton. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1956.
Paul worked as a mechanic for the Paine Garage in Baldwinville and Millers Garage in Gardner. He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church and assisted as a collector. He enjoyed watching golf and was a fan of all Boston sports teams and attended many games.
He leaves two sisters: Frances Grucan of Gardner, Florence Stone of Athol, two brothers: Stanley Grucan of Gardner, Raymond Grucan of Winchendon ; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Stephania Poploski, Helen Trinque, Anna Bibeau, Jeanette Arsenault; three brothers, Peter Grucan, John Grucan, Jr., Chester Poploski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:00 am in the St. Vincent De Paul, 1 Forest St., Baldwinville. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
No calling hours are scheduled.
