Paul Pierce Hale, born on September 17, 1939 in Natick, MA, who lived a life of service to his family, community, and country. Known for his reliability and loyalty, Paul was a positive influence on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. After graduating from Natick High School, serving in the Air Force and obtaining his associate's degree, he spent his professional years as a Project Manager for Digital Equipment, retiring in 1994. He was a man of many talents who never stopped learning, and his drive to stay active led him to earn his real estate license post-retirement and to be a school bus driver for several years.
Paul was an esteemed member of his community. His dedication to service was reflected in his long-time membership with the Hubbardston Lions Club. He served two terms on the Board of Selectmen, contributing to various community projects over the 45 plus years he lived in Hubbardston. His commitment to his community was only surpassed by his love for the great outdoors. Paul was an avid camper. He enjoyed many memorable camping trips with family members, especially with his beautiful wife Jacqueline, whom he married on November 12, 1960. He loved cycling, whether it was for recreation or for fund raising where he participated in several Pan-Mass challenges and the Northeast AIDS Ride, and he was never shy to take on a home improvement project. His boundless energy and passion for life were truly inspiring.
Despite his many accomplishments, what mattered most to Paul was his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his daughter, Virginia (Hale) Jepson, son-in-law Randall Jepson, son Jeffrey Hale, granddaughter Audrey Jepson, grandson Paul Jepson, brother Frederick Hale, brother and sister in-law Robert and Faye Hale, sister and brother in-law Nancy and Andrew Maloney, sister and brother in-law June and Mark McDermott, sister in-law Nancy Bolton and sister in-law and brother in-law Marilyn and Alan Huston. He also leaves behind several nephews and nieces. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline (Higgins) Hale, father, Paul S. Hale, and mother, Elizabeth P. Hale.
Paul's life was a testament to dedication, loyalty, and ambition. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. We encourage you to share your memories of Paul to the memorial page at www.mackfamilyfh.com, as we celebrate the remarkable life he led.
