Ashburnham-Paul Carpenter Lashua, 85, died at his home Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
He leaves his daughter, Brenda; two sons, Steven, and Robert " Bobby"; his precious grandchildren, Alan and Lydia; four brothers; eight sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. His dear friends, Dave and Eddie
A brother and a sister, and Pauline predeceased him.
Paul was born in Fitchburg on September 5, 1937, a son of the late William and Alma (Florence) Lashua. He owned and operated Lashua Construction for many years. Machines were an extension of his fingers. He was an extremely hard-working man. He was well known for moving buildings on his dump truck.
Paul was a generous man with a big heart; he would help everyone and give you the shirt off his back. He was a character, he did it all, what a life he had.
He enjoyed cooking, making baked beans and kapusta. He loved to Polka and he enjoyed playing cribbage, pitch and pool.
A very, very special thank you to Alan for being his grandfather's caregiver. Paul's family would like to give thanks to all the doctors and medical staff who cared for him. Special thanks to Dr. Havlin and his staff.
Calling hours for Paul will be held on April 28, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
