Paul P. Piermarini

March 17, 1933 — April 22, 2015

Paul P. Piermarini, Sr. Athol – Paul P. Piermarini, Sr., 82, of Daniel Shays Highway, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at Quabbin Valley Healthcare.       Paul was born in Leominster, MA, March 17, 1933, the son of Clito and Lucy (Tocci) Piermarini.  He graduated from Leominster High School in 1952 where he lived for many years and since 1987 has resided in Athol.         Paul worked most of his life in construction in the Leominster area and Worcester County.  He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union #107 in Worcester until his retirement.  He raised and bred homing pigeons all of his life.  He was a member of the CLNEC Club in Ashburnham, the Worcester Homing Club and the NWC Club in Northampton.  He also was a member of the South Athol United Methodist Church, he enjoyed music and dancing and loved spending time in Ogunquit with his wife Muriel.       He leaves his wife of 25 years, Muriel G. (Emerson) Piermarini; four sons, Paul P. Piermarini, Jr. and his wife Carol of GA, Peter Piermarini, David Piermarini and his wife Tammy  of Leominster, Mark Piermarini and his wife Wendy of Gardner; a daughter, Julie Ponusky and her husband Mark of Leominster; two step-sons, Allen Frost and his wife Jen of Orange and Gary Frost and his wife Lori of Athol; four step-daughters, Jean Muzzy of Orange, Patricia Flematti and her husband Rick, Cheryl Morandi and her husband Keith, of Athol and Dr. Doreen Frost of Petersham.  He also leaves two brothers, Alphonse Piermarini of Leominster and Clyde Piermarini of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary DePasquale       Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol with the Rev. Yoo Cha Yi, pastor of Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery and there will be a calling hour from 9:00 until the time of the service.   In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions may be made in Paul’s name to; The American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA  01701-4688.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
