Paul E. Pryor, 87, of 416 Main St., Athol, died Saturday morning in Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol after a short illness.
He was born in Montpelier, VT May 14, 1916, son of the late Pearl E. and Bell (Lennox) Pryor and lived here many years. His beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Mary E. (Wark) Pryor died July 17, 2001.
Mr. Pryor was employed with the former General Electric Co. of Fitchburg for twenty years prior to his retirement in 1976. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving with the 208th Field Artillery Batallion Battery C. He was member of the First Church-Unitarian Universalist in Athol.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Pryor of Sutton, NH and Janice Jansen of Olivia, MN; one sister, Mildred Spaulding of Belfast, ME, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one great-grandson, Michael Ziller of Minnesota.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in J. EDWARD MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 137 Main St., Athol, Saturday, December 27 at 1PM. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
