Paul Sundstrom, born on the 8th of March 1952, was a man of wit, dedication, and inspiration. His sparkling humor and quick wit were the heart of every gathering at the Green Frog Café, or during holiday celebrations, infusing warmth and a sense of shared joy into every event he hosted. He was a man of many talents and interests, with a particular passion for classic cars and the rich culture of Europe, with Germany holding a special place in his heart.
Paul's dedication was a thread that ran through every aspect of his life. As the President of the American Lithuanian Club, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the community. Paul held a career of dedication at Unitil Gas and Electric in Fitchburg, MA for much of his life, retiring to continue managing rental properties in the community. His love for restoration was evident in his meticulous renovation of the Wrights Tavern on Templeton common and the original Sundstrom Homestead on Water Street in Gardner, MA. This homestead held a special place in his heart, having been owned by four generations of Sundstroms since 1901. Paul was a proud member of the Templeton Rod and Gun Club, the Orange Rod and Gun Club and his achievements reflected his love for these groups and the community they represented.
Inspirational and ever-motivated, Paul believed in the power of education. This belief was not just a principle but a calling, a calling to learn, grow and contribute to the world. He was a living embodiment of the quote, "Education is one thing no one can take away from you." His zest for life, his pursuit of knowledge and his dedication to his community continue to inspire all who knew him.
Paul's memory is cherished by his daughters, Hayleigh and Colby Sundstrom, his brother Peter Sundstrom, his sister Pamela Skorko, and his significant other, Gail Pizzo. He joins his parents, Rudolph and Beverly Sundstrom, in peaceful rest.
Paul's life was a testament to the power of dedication, wit, and inspiration. His legacy will continue to resonate through the lives he touched and the community he loved. We invite you to share your memories of Paul, and upload photos that celebrate his life to the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will help keep his spirit and his influence alive for generations to come.
