Paulette Langlois

GARDNER- M. Paulette (Allaire) Langlois, 88, of Gardner, died Sunday, February 14, at home, surrounded by her family. Paulette was born April 25, 1927, in Quebec City, where she was adopted by the late Hector and Elsie (Gagnon) Allaire. Paulette graduated from Gardner High School in 1946 and attended Stevens Business School. She worked for New England Telephone for a brief time prior to leaving her outside employment to raise her family. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. She was a member of the Gardner Bridge Club, Gardner Museum, and Heywood Hospital Aide Association. Paulette was an avid tennis player, enjoying equally the social aspects of the game and the competitiveness of the sport, participating in many local tournaments sharing her passion for the game with her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, calligraphy, painting, bridge, and skiing. She leaves her husband of 63 years, Charles E. Langlois; her children, Suzanne Walker and her husband Wayne of Westminster, MA, Michelle Arsenault and her husband Ken of Gardner, MA, and Pierre Langlois and his wife Leyla of Ledyard, CT; daughter-in-law, Maria Langlois of Athol; grandchildren, Michael R. Langlois and his wife Julia of San Antonio Texas, Jeffrey Langlois of Gardner, Jaclyn Budwickand her husband Daniel of Gardner, Jenna Arsenault of Fitchburg, Joseph Arsenault of Gardner, Jacob Langlois of Gardner, Isabella and Cooper Langlois of Ledyard, CT; great grandchildren, Sophia, Gabriella, and Andrew Langlois, all of San Antonio, TX, and Emily Budwick of Gardner; nephews and niece, John Langlois of Gardner, Michael J. Langlois of Templeton, and Ann Marie Murray of Bow NH. She was predeceased by two sons, Robert and Joseph Langlois, her great granddaughter, Ellie Budwick, and her daughter-in-law, Jayne Langlois. The family would like to thank the French Connection, Patti, Deb, and Deanna, and the GVNA Hospice for the exceptional care given to Paulette. Calling hours are Thursday, February 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. The funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 19, at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robert C. Langlois Scholarship Trust, care of the Community Foundation of North Central MA and may be sent to 649 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg, MA 01420 or by visiting www.cfncm.org
