Pauline Theresa Allain, 94, formerly of Hampton, NH died peacefully on March 21, 2025.
Pauline was the seventh child of ten children born in Leominster to the late Calixte and Josephine (Collette) Allain on November 18, 1930.
Pauline was predeceased by her three brothers, Clarence, Raymond and Robert Allain, and her six sisters, Julie Lemire, Corrine Allain, Dorothy Allain, Hilda Hensley, Helen Allain, and Barbara Spinelli.
Pauline graduated from Leominster High School and shortly after graduating, she moved with her sister to Miami, Florida. While in Miami, Pauline found her passion working for Southern Bell Phone Company; first as a telephone operator and then in the engineering department until her retirement in 1985. Pauline also met “the love of her life”, Bob, and together they shared a 40 year relationship until his death which led her to move north and settle in NH. Pauline loved living in Hampton, near the beach for her daily walks. She loved her family which included her 25 nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed time with friends, ice cream, puzzles, shopping, shoes, the Boston Celtics, and playing the piano. Pauline was a devout Catholic and she had a strong faith-based way of life. She set a perfect example for all by working hard and by demonstrating self-sacrifice in helping her family.
Pauline will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a very kind and caring person with an independent spirit of “live free or die.” Her family would like to thank the staff at the Manor On The Hill for their outstanding care and compassion.
We love you Pauline, thank you for the love, laughter and the memories, we will never forget you!
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Church, Leominster, MA on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at 11:00am.
Burial will follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in her name, to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
