GARDNER- Pearl J. (Kowlzan) Heglin, 90, of Gardner, died Thursday, May 15, in Wachusett Manor.
She was born March 22, 1924, in Gardner, daughter of the late Anthony and Franciska (Durkno) Kowlzan and lived in Gardner all of her life. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1943. Mrs. Heglin retired from Rome Sales where she worked in the office. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, the Gardner Golden Age Club, and the AARP. She enjoyed traveling.
Her husband of 58 years, Raymond O. Heglin, died in 2005.
She leaves two sons, James E. Heglin and his wife, Pam, of Phillipston, and Richard P. Heglin and his wife, Sheila, of Gardner; one daughter, Susan F. Heglin of Gardner; two grandchildren, Rebecca Krol of Westminster, and Kurt Heglin of Ashburnham; one great granddaughter, Elsa Heglin; one brother, Edward Kowlzan of Baldwinville; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday, May 17, from Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, May 17, from 8:45 to 9:45 A.M. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner, MA 01440.
