We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Peggy J. Swan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and daughter. Peggy was born on January 7, 1949 in Gardner, MA, and peacefully left us on September 21, 2024. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Peggy was a graduate of Athol High School, class of 1966. Her determination and ambition led her to a fulfilling career as a finish worker at L S Starrett Co., a renowned tool manufacturing company for 42 years, from where she later retired. Peggy was a woman of many passions. Her love for jigsaw puzzles reflected her patience and keen eye for detail. A true nature lover, she found joy in watching bears in her yard, and her affinity for animals was evident in her affection for dogs, donkeys, horses, and especially cats. Peggy had a unique ability to appreciate the beauty of life in its simplest forms, making her presence a source of comfort and inspiration.

Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Pierson; her daughter Terry Ann Mikulskis; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Lindblad and her husband Jon; two aunts, Dorothy Duteau and Barbara Ames and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Swan and her parents, George and Donna Cook. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her loved ones and the community she fervently loved.

We invite all who knew Peggy to celebrate her life by sharing memories and photographs on her memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a comforting reminder of the wonderful life Peggy lived, and the love she shared with us all. Please do so at www.mackfamilyfh.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter of your choice or by making a Jigsaw Puzzle in her honor.
