St. Clair, MI – Peter A. “Andy” Musante, 100 of St. Clair MI and formerly of Athol, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the St. Clair, MI
Andy was born in Athol, on February 25, 1912, the son of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Cavana) Musante.
He grew up in Athol and graduated with the Athol High School Class of 1931. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving in WWII from 1942-1945. Mr. Musante was a life long member of the American Legion.
He worked at the former J. F. McElwain Company in Athol for more than 35 years, retiring in 1985.
In his younger years he enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening and going to Hinsdale. In his later years he became an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He leaves one daughter: Sandra Davis and her husband Richard of St. Clair, MI; two granddaughters: Candice Imwalle and Melissa Kirkiles; two great grandchildren: Cameron Imwalle and Isabella Imwalle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years: Thelma (Venette) Musante; by four brothers: Agustas, Michael, Charles and John; by two sisters: Theresa and Josephine.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake Street, Athol.
