Peter J. Pinard

Peter J. Pinard Athol – Peter J. Pinard, 98, of 815 North Orange Road, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.      Peter was born in Marlow, New Hampshire, December 28, 1913, the son of Horace and Mary Louise (Hill) Pinard.   He grew up in Unity, NH, later moving to Long Island, NY where he lived from 1938 until 1965 when he moved to Winchester, NH.  He later lived in Keene and since 2001 has resided in Athol.        Peter was an aircraft machinist for many years, working on the F-84 Aircraft.  He also purchased, renovated and sold real estate privately and operated a store.  He was a member of the Keene Senior Swingers and was a Jehovah Witness for over 40 years.  He also enjoyed gardening and working around his home.      He leaves his wife of 11 years, Anita (Paulin) Pinard; a son, Thomas Pinard of Drewsville, NH; 10 grandchildren, Peter, Jennifer, Cathy, Tammy, Tara, Tanya, Jonathan, Tiffany, Tom and Jessica; four great grandchildren; five step-children, Patricia Puffer of Athol, Gregory Parker of Derry, NH, Carl Parker of Athol, Craig Parker of Barre and Donald Parker, Jr. of Lancaster; 15 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his first wife of 51 years, Margaret E. (Connolly) Pinard; two sons, Peter and Arthur; three brothers, James, Arthur, Robert and a sister, Elsie.        A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Winchester, NH in the spring.  Those wishing to share a memory of Peter should go to www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements. $(document).ready(function(){ });
