EAST LONGMEADOW- The world lost a bright, generous spirit when Phyllis Theresa Carbone passed away on July 23, 2023. Born on June 25, 1932, in Gardner, MA, Phyllis lived a compassionate and thoughtful life, rooted in her devotion to her family, friends, and faith. A long-time resident of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, she was a pillar of her community and an inspiration to all who knew her.
Phyllis dedicated 30 fulfilling years of her life to her profession as an electrolysis, garnering respect and admiration from her clients and colleagues. She was a woman of faith, an active parishioner at St. Michaels in East Long Meadow, and a generous supporter of the ASPA. Her hobbies included playing bingo, feeding her beloved cats Francesco, Little Big Boy, her raccoon, and the squirrels that frequented her home. Phyllis's love for animals was well known, as was her thoughtfulness in caring for them. Her previous residences included Athol, MA, and Springfield, MA, where she left a trail of loving memories.
Phyllis was a loving family member and a cherished friend. She is survived by her niece Mia Carbone, nephews Oreste Jr. and Chad Carbone, nieces Cara Carbone-Mantz and Danielle Battaini, as well as cousins Michael Pepper and Patricia Byrne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Cora Carbone, and her brother, Oreste Sr.
Phyllis's life was a testament to her selflessness and love for others. She will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and the love she shared with those around her. We invite those who knew Phyllis to share their fond memories, photographs, and stories on her memorial page.
