Phyllis E. Conners, 93 0f East Templeton, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Templeton on September 26, 1926 to the late Thomas J. Conners and the late Bertha E. (Tappin) Conners. She graduated from Templeton High School in 1944, going on to attend Fitchburg State College, graduating with her teaching degree in 1948. She also attended Boston University, receiving her Master’s Degree in 1950. Miss Conners taught at the Elm St. School in Gardner for 3 years. She then went on to teach in Japan, Germany, Okinawa and Spain for many years before retiring in 1992.She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in East Templeton. She is survived by her sister: Claire Bryant of Cheektowaga, NY; her niece: Linda Bryant with whom she lived; her cousin Mary Mack of Gardner; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Conners who died many years ago. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Cemetery, West St., Gardner.
