ATHOL - Priscilla M. "Pat" (Russ) Giggey, 71 of 1365 Main St., Athol, died Friday, January 05, 2007, in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol.
She was born in Greenfield, on December 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Gordon W. and the late Evelyn (Bennett) Russ.
Pat attended Mount Wachusett Community College and was a certified home health aid. She worked as a receptionist at the Community Health Service Center.
She was a volunteer with the local hospice program.
Pat was a member of the AARP, past president of the St. Mary´s Church Women´s Club in Orange, a volunteer at the Athol High School with the practical arts group.
She enjoyed bicycling, traveling, walking, nature, people, picture taking, sewing and the outdoors.
She leaves one daughter, Patricia M. Hackett of Milbury; two sons, James A. Giggey of Beach, ND, Robert P. Giggey of Gardner; one sister, Nancy E. Roberts of Hardwick; one brother, Albert W. Russ of Greenfield; her former husband, Ralph P. Giggey; and six grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Edward A. Hatin who died in 1953.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol.
Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Orange.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol.
