GARDNER- Priscilla A. Lovering of Gardner passed on Monday, October 22, 2018. Born on May 4, 1931 in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of Asa L. and Ruth (Gale) Lovering. Priscilla graduated from Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford, MA and St. John’s & St. Joseph’s Hospitals as a Medical Technician in Lowell, MA. In the 1950’s she handled the Blood Bank at Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital in Gardner, MA. She later continued her professional career of many years at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plains, Boston. She also served as a director in Homes for the Elderly in Stoneham and Framingham, MA. Priscilla was a longtime active member of the Central Baptist Church in Chelmsford, attending the School of Methods, Ocean Park, ME. She also served as treasurer for Mission Street Congregational Church in Gardner, MA from 1985 to 1997. Priscilla enjoyed reading, floral arranging, and nature. She had a great love for animals, especially her twenty year old Maine Coon Cat, Ginger. She was predeceased by her sister, Harriet Ruth. She is survived by her cousin, Diana Gale Stoddard of Winter Haven, FL. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:00am in Greenbower Cemetery, 101 Winter St. Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Priscilla’s memory to the Heywood Hospital Chapel 242 Green St. Gardner, MA 01440 or the Gardner Animal Shelter 899 West Broadway Gardner, MA 01440.
