Rachel Blais

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rachel I. Blais, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, on January 6th, 2025 at the age of 83 who has gone to be with the Lord. 

Rachel was born in Gardner, Ma on June 20th, 1941, the daughter of the late Phillip and Amelia Poirier. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1959 and went on to work in banking and retail for over 30 years until her retirement. Rachel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Westminster and was active member of the Gardner Golden Age Club where she cherished spending time with her close friends. Rachel shared a deep love for traveling with her husband Chuck, exploring the New England area, and embarking on long trips to Canada. She enjoyed cookouts and gatherings with her children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in our hearts forever.

Rachel will always be remembered for her kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering support for her family that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our mother's love and devotion for the Lord will forever be part of us.

Rachel is survived by her devoted husband Chuck Blais, four loving children; Lori Jameson and her husband Keith of Gardner; Lynn Stewart-Hussien and her husband Jeff of Ashburnham; Lesley Stewart of Gardner; and Craig Stewart and his wife Dawn of Gardner. She was adored by her five grandchildren; Kyle, Ian, Hannah, Austin, Justin as well as her great-grandson Austin. Additionally, Rachel is survived by her step-son Chuck Blais and wife Lorraine of Leominster, step-daughter Lisa Blais of Tyngsboro, and many nieces and nephews.

Rachel was predeceased by her brother Walter Poirier, and two sisters, Marie Sabettini and Rena Poirier.

A celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Polish American Citizens Club (PACC), Gardner, Ma.
