LEOMINSTER- Rachel I. (Pelletier) Ouellette, 87, of Leominster, died Saturday, December 3, after an illness.
She was born September 25, 1929, in Nashua, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Romeo and Albertine (Pellerin) Pelletier. She was fulfilled by raising her children and being very involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Mrs. Ouellette spent time volunteering at Church bazaars, Our Father’s Table, and WIC. She enjoyed candlepin bowling, bingo, gambling, knitting, crafts, and horses.
She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Parish and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary since 1983.
She leaves four daughters, Elena Nagrath of Fitchburg, Ruth LaFleur, wife of the late Mark LaFleur, Celeste Lawrence and her husband, Robert, and Alison Bisdnack and her husband, Wally, all of Leominster; nine grandchildren, Evangeline, Angelica, Paige, Celeste, Ryan, Paul, Kenneth, Daniel, and Christopher; fourteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her favorite dog, Princess.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Ouellette, two sons, Chris and Paul Ouellette, her grandson, Raymond, her brothers, Gerard, Romeo, and Donald Pelletier, and sisters, Albertine Lessard, Amy Bellhumer, and Elena Pelletier.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 7, from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. The funeral Mass will be follow at 11:00 A.M. in St. St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
