LEOMINSTER - Randolph A. Comeau, 72 of 284 Mechanic Street, Leominster, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital, Leominster.
He was born in Leominster, on October 29, 1940, the son of the late Henry and the late Edna (Arpin) Comeau.
He grew up in Leominster attended St. Cecilia's Elementary School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1959 to 1963 in the dentistry field.
He was employed as a truck driver for Keating Paving Company for many years. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church. He was a talented musician playing the accordion and the piano. He was a member of the "Soul Survivors LTD" a local band. He was an avid New England sports fan.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Sandra C. (Mero) Comeau, three daughters, Sherie Kirouac and her husband Denis of Leominster, Kimberly Bliss and her husband Steven of Phillipston, Kelly Morin and her husband Eric of Leominster; one son, Shawn Comeau and his wife Kristie of Westminster; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Tina Boissoneau who died in 2006 and by his brother, Paul Comeau who died in 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:30 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Saint Cecilia's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA 01453.
