GARDNER- On November 1, 2018, Raymond E. Marsaw entered the presence of the Savior he loved and served. He was 93.
Raymond was born in Hammond, NY on December 30, 1924, the youngest of five children.
In 1943, after his high school graduation, he was drafted, entered the Navy, and served as a Radioman in the Pacific until the end of the war. When he returned home, he became involved in cheese making operations in New York state, eventually spending over 20 years as manager of a large milk plant.
Moving to Massachusetts, he started his own hearing aid business, REM Hearing Aid, in the Ashburnham and Gardner areas.
He was predeceased by Florence Marsaw, his wife of 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; stepdaughter, Liane Jablonski of Rindge, NH; stepson, Daniel Boudilion of Littleton; nephews, Rick Baxter of Pickens, SC, Jim Robinson of Parker, CO, Doug Robinson of Phoenix, AZ, and David Marsaw of Hammond, NY.
A calling hour will be held Friday, November 9, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Beth Eden Baptist Church, 350 Ashburnham St., Fitchburg. Burial with military honors, will follow in New Cemetery in Ashburnham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Ray Marsaw Memorial Fund, Beth Eden Baptist Church, 350 Ashburnham St., Fitchburg, MA 01420.
