Leominster....Raymond Joseph Morrissette 86,of 950 Lancaster St.Leominster MA.died Friday evening April 10,2009 at home after an illness. He was born March 7,1923 in Leominster MA.the son of the late David Morrissette and Florida (Abell) Morrissette and was a lifelong Leominster MA.resident. He leaves his wife of(61)Years,Lucille (Bleickhardt) Morrissette .A son David A. Morrissette and his wife Cheryl of Goffstown New Hampshire and a daughter Joanne Safford and her husband Donald of Leominster MA. (6)Grandchildren,Bryan Morrissette,Holly Morrisette,Rene Morrissette Michael Morrisette,Kimberly Safford and Gerry Safford. A brother-Brother Peter Morrissette died in 1962. Mr Morrissette attended Worcester Trade School in the Auto Mechanic Department.He worked at area auto repair shops later going to work at ITT Wire and Cable in Clinton MA.for (28)years retiring in 1985. He was a member of St Cecilia s Church and the former Leominster Moose Club both in Leominster MA. He was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying fishing.He also enjoyed reading and was known in his family as a very religious man. The funeral will be held on Friday April 17,2009 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St.Leominster MA.with an 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia s Church 180 Mechanic St. Leominster MA.Burial will follow in St Cecilia s Cemetery Leominster MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday morning April 17,2009 are from 9:30am-10:30am.
