ORANGE - Raymond E. Roger, 74 of 519 East River St., Orange, formerly of Leominster, died Friday, March 2, 2007 in the St. Vincent´s Hospital, Worcester. He was born in Leominster, on March 8, 1932, the son of the late Oliva and the late Exina (Fontaine) Roger. He grew up in Leominster and graduated from St. Bernards High School. He attended Worcester Junior College and received a degree in drafting. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. Mr. Roger was employed at the former Purolator-Courier Corporation in Boston for several years and retired as vice president of the Central Carrier Corporation of Leominster. He was a call firefighter for the Leomister Fire Department for many years. He loved the ocean, all of the New England sports teams and enjoyed traveling. He was a resident of Orange for the past twenty-three years coming from Leominster. He leaves his wife of twenty-three years, Ruth A. (Hodgkins) Roger; one daughter, Susan M. Rindfleisch and her husband Robert of Leominster; three sons, Paul R. Roger and his wife Donna of Florida, John R. Roger of Pennsylvania, Mark F. Roger and his wife Joy of Fitchburg; one sister, Madeline Siciliano of Sterling; two brothers, Rev. Richard Roger of Worcester, Paul Roger and his wife Pauline of Ashburnham; one step son, Richard W. Roach and his wife Elisabeth of Oklahoma; a step daughter, Roberta M. Schnur and her husband Stuart of South Carolina; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to charity of one´s choice.
