Rena M. Duguay

ATHOL - Rena M. Duguay, 83 of 226 Chestnut St., Athol, died Sunday, January 28, 2007, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Athol, on December 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Ulderic and the late Sara (Cormier) Duguay. Rena was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed going to church, taking care of children, needlepoint, swimming, playing cards, puzzles, bingo and family gatherings. She lived with her sister Bertha Alliott and her niece Patricia Rhodes. She leaves three sisters, Bertha Alliott, Rita Rivers, and Noella Boutelle all of Athol; four brothers, George Duguay of Athol, Norman Duguay of Gainsville, GA, Vergil Duguay of Athol, Albert Duguay of Athol; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, William Duguay and by a sister, Bella Goupel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours. Those attending are asked to go directly to Our Lady Immaculate on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
