ATHOL - Rhonda S. (Norton) Morand, 50 of 40 Lake St., Athol formerly of Fitchburg and Pepperell, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, as a result of injuries form a motor vehicle accident on Route 2 in Phillipston. She was born in Ayer, on November 19, 1956, the daughter of Frank T. and Dorothy J. (Avery) Norton. She was a graduate of Lunenburg High School and had also attended Mt. Wachusett Community College studying art. For many years she worked at the Asher Company in Fitchburg. Especially during the winter months she enjoyed painting, drawing, listening to music, reading, movies and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles, especially at her parents house where the whole family ended up helping. She was also becoming a more active member of her church and she enjoyed spending time with her friends. During warmer months she liked to barbeque and spend time outside doing anything from gardening to playing games with her children and grandson. She also enjoyed the beach. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She leaves her parents Frank T. and Dorothy J. (Avery) Norton of Athol; two daughters, Heidi and Dorothy; two sons, Michael and Robert; and one grandson Frank all of Athol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home 1356 Main St., Athol. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to charity of one´s choice.
