Richard Homer Barnish

Richard H. Barnish Athol – Richard H. Barnish, 74, of School Street, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his home.      Richard was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, October 6, 1938, the son of Leo G. and Louise T. (Serrell) Barnish.  He grew up in Greenfield and Brattleboro where he attended schools and also had lived in many parts of the United States before moving to Athol in July.  Richard served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 until 1957.  He was a truck driver most of his life and worked for Shaw Trucking out of Florida for the past several years.      Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol directed arrangements.  www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
