Richard S. Bevis

Richard S. Bevis Athol – Richard S. Bevis, 85, of 1333 Main Street died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Florida Hospital in Orlando.      Richard was born in Athol, Massachusetts on September 29, 1927 the son of Elmer E. and Kate M. (Linehan) Bevis.  He graduated from Athol High School in 1946, attended Yale University and the University of Massachusetts, receiving his degree in Respiratory Therapy.  Richard worked as a respiratory therapist for many years at the Athol Memorial Hospital, the Florida Hospital in Orlando and the Winter Park Hospital.        He leaves two nephews, William and James Meehan, both of Athol and his long-time friend, John R. MacDonald of Athol and Florida.  He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.         A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery with the Rev.
