PLYMOUTH - Richard H. Bunnell, 82 of 13 Sandpiper Lane, Plymouth, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, MA. He was born in Leominster, on October 22, 1925, the son of the late Harry M. and the late Alice (Hood) Bunnell. He grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School. He was a communicant of St. Leo's Church. He worked in the printing industry for many years. Mr. Bunnell loved to bake breads make jellies and jams. He enjoyed working in the garden, cutting wood and fishing on Squam Lake in New Hampshire. He served during WWII and the Korean wars in the Navy. He leaves his wife of 23 years: Sylvia (Raduazo) Bunnell, one daughter: Donna Bunnell and her partner Judy Warren of Orange, and two sons: Paul Bunnell and his wife Sheila of Gurnee, IL, and Ronald Bunnell and his wife Joanne of Ashburnham, one sister: Mildred Twitchell of Leominster, four grandchildren; four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and the Raduazo Family of Gardner. He was predeceased by his three brothers: Roland, Raymond and Harry Bunnell and his sister: Agnes Raaum. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to New England Homeless Shelter for Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston MA 02108.
