Fitchburg- Richard K. Burt, Jr. 54, of Fitchburg, passed away on Monday October 21, 2013 in Umass Medical Center Worcester following a short illness. He was born on May 15th, 1959, the son of the late Richard K. Burt, Sr, and Michelina (DiNardo) Burt. Richard was born in Leominster and attended Leominster High School. He worked for his father at Ace Electric Co. for many years. He was known to be a happy and fun person to be around. He enjoyed being a jokester and teasing the people around him. Richard also enjoyed building bicycles, spending time with his family, and playing with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Richard was a loving, gentle, warm hearted, and generous man. Besides his mother, Richard leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Felicia Myles, his children Michael Burt of Fitchburg, and Melanie Amico and her husband Tony of Fitchburg, his sister Renita Voedisch of Leominster, one grandchild; Louis Amico and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins He was predeceased by his father Richard K. Burt, Sr. (1996), and one sister; Louise Burt (1984). Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 24, 2013 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St, Leominster. There will be a memorial service starting at 7:45pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
