ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Illinois - Richard D. Coleman, 61 of 745 South McKinley Ave, Arlington Heights, IL, formerly of Athol, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at home.
He was born in Medford, MA, on October 6, 1949, the son of Rodman and the late Marie (Daigle) Coleman.
Richard grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.
Richard received a BS degree in education from Florida International University, and a Masters Degree in Management from Cambridge College.
He worked for Balzers, Inc for 15 years as a Regional Sales Manager.
Richard recently started to enjoy playing his guitar again, as well as the drums, and was an avid music enthusiast.
He leaves one daughter, Rebecca Coleman of Wilbraham, MA; two sons, Gregory Coleman of Agawam, MA, Justin Coleman of Arlington Heights, IL; his father, Rodman D. Coleman of Athol; two sisters, Debbie Farley of Athol, Nancy Kingsbury of Orange; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will be private at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
