ATHOL- Richard C. Lawsky, 81 of Athol died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Athol Hospital.
He was born in Athol on May 17, 1934, the son of the late John M. Lawsky and the late Tena (Gaudeski) Lawsky.
Richard grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.
He was the owner of A&O Auto Sales in Orange, and was previously employed at Chase Turbine of Orange and First National Grocery Store in Athol.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was an avid sportsman, antique car buff, he enjoyed competing in two man crosscut saw competitions at local fairs and loved polka dancing.
He is survived by his companion Shirley Deane and five cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 101 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
