GARDNER - Richard C Lescord, 78, of Gardner, formerly of Rindge, NH, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, sharing many happy memories, Monday, November 3, 2014 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester, MA.
He was born in Templeton, MA, on September 6, 1936, the son of the late Nelson J. Lescord Jr. and the late Myrtle (Brunell) Lescord.
Mr. Lescord married Anita (LaBarge) Clapp in 1997.
He was a plasterer for Todd Rivers. He enjoyed camping, fishing, the ocean, and going to the casino with his wife. He was a talented repairman.
He adored his grandchildren and loved doing special things with them.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy V. (Popoloski) Lescord in 1996. They were married 40 years.
He leaves his wife of 17 years: Anita (LaBarge) Clapp; two daughters: Debbie Ouellette and her husband Norman of Westminster, Donna Kodys and her husband Peter of Templeton; one step-son: Jody Clapp and his wife Paula of Winchendon; two step-daughters: Tammy Maxwell of Gardner, Becky Boutell of Gardner; five grandchildren: Nicole Roberts, Kristopher Kodys, Roberto Clapp, Julianna Clapp, DeAndre Maxwell; one sister: Judy Ballou of Ormand Beach, FL
No services or calling hours are scheduled.
