Richard A. "Sonny" Dubrule

WINCHENDON - Richard A. "Sonny" Dubrule, 71, of 145 Monomonac Rd. W., Winchendon Springs died Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was born in Lebanon, NH, on May 3, 1937, the son of the late Alexander C. and the late Alberta V. (Guy) Dubrule. Sonny was a longtime resident of both Athol and Orange. He enjoyed attending local day programs, and was considered a very helpful and considerate person who blessed those around him. He leaves four brothers, Bruce Dubrule and his wife Judy, Robert Dubrule and his wife Betty, James Dubrule and his companion Dorothy Class, all of Athol, Eugene Dubrule and his wife Gayle of FL; several nieces and nephews; his longtime caretaker, Betty May and her husband Ted of Winchendon; and his close friends, Eddie and Megan of Winchendon. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol. Pastor Jeff Francis of the Second Congregational Church of Royalston will officiate. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society's, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
