September 25, 1949 — November 28, 2024

Richard Tucker, born September 25, 1949, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, after a long battle with a failing heart. He is survived by his mother Forida Tucker of Clinton, Ma., his sister Lorraine Fox and her husband James of Roseburg, OR, his brother Mike Tucker and his wife Julie of Westminster, MA., his sister Linda Ramelli and husband Tony of Madison, NH and his brother Paul and his wife Carol of Hudson, MA. He was Uncle Dick to Jason and Mychal Fox of OR, Jeff and Mark Tucker of Hudson, Adena (NJ) and Nicholas (IL) Ramelli, Kyle (Berlin) and Collin (NH) Tucker. He also leaves several grand-nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father Alvin Tucker and brother George Tucker.

Richard was raised in Hudson and attended Marlboro Vocational High School and Wentworth Institute in Boston. In his younger years, he was a faithful employee of the old Marlboro IGA, a quality control supervisor for Independent Cable of Hudson as well as a short time in Nebraska also for Independent Cable. He was a mechanical draftsman by trade and worked for Data General and many other smaller companies in the Massachusetts area.

Richard led a quiet life and was always a gentleman. The New England sports teams were his passion. He had no favorite, he enjoyed them all. He looked forward to each team's season bringing new excitement to his day and banter conversations with other fans.

His second family and home was the Hudson Elks. He enjoyed the many friends he made there.

He especially loved playing Santa for all the kids and riding on the fire truck. He was the Exalted Ruler twice and very proud to lead the Elks in that capacity.

The family would like to thank Corcoran House Assisted Living, Summit Elder Care, Gardner Rehabilitation for the compassionate care he received in his time of need.

He will be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
