ATHOL – Richard G. Valley Jr. 58, of Athol passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at home.
Richard was born on March 21, 1959 in Athol. He lived in Athol all his life. He graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1977. He worked at many local supermarkets after high school as well as working at various factories. He was a chef at Wachusett Mountain and worked at Devereaux Nasoya. He was a member of the Franco American Club and the Lithuanian Club.
He was a big fan of “The Rolling Stones” and loved music. In earlier days, he was very artistic and poetic. He also used to like to repair bicycles for a hobby. Rick was a great guy and will be missed dearly by many.
He leaves his parents: Ruby Stowell and Richard G. Valley Sr., one brother Shawn Valley,; one sister: Julie Litchfield and her husband Mark all of Athol; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles: Linda & Don Knapp of Athol, Corrine and Steve Ramsey of Alaska, Rachel and Pete Vitello of Florida; half siblings: Paul Rodgers and Regina Hicks both of MN.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
A Celebration of Life and private burial will follow at a later date.
