Rina Balzano Piazza

LEOMINSTER- Rina Balzano Piazza, 67, of Leominster, died peacefully, Saturday, June 18, in her home, after a short illness. Rina was born December 15, 1948, in Tricesimo, Italy, daughter of Irene (Lauzana) Balzano and the late Francesco Balzano. She was a member of Saint Anna’s Church. She was a loving and caring wife to her late husband, Giovanni M. Piazza, who died June 5, 2011. She leaves her son, John Piazza and his wife Lori of PA; daughter, Susan Piazza of FL; three granddaughters, Michelina and Angelina Piazza, both of PA, and Rose Siglin of NJ; one great granddaughter, Giovanna; two brothers, Franco and Carlo Balzano, both of Canada; two sisters, Anne Marie and Louise Balzano, both of Canada; nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 24, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Anna’s Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
