Robert J. Anthony Royalston – Robert J. “Grumpy” Anthony, 82, of Morse Road, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home.      Bob was born February 17, 1933 in Boston, MA, the son of John L. and Caroline C. (Depalma) Anthony.  He grew up in East Boston and New Hampshire where he attended schools.  He also lived in California, Utah and Maine before moving back to Atkinson, NH where he lived for many years and since 1995 has resided in Royalston.      Bob was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He worked as a steel worker, owning his own business in Atkinson, also working for several companies doing pre-fab steel work from the east coast to the west coast which included Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and California until his retirement.          Bob enjoyed cooking, wood art, carving and scrolling, gardening, was an avid fisherman, loved to work and teach his skills to others.  He was very proud that he built his own home at 62 years old.  He was a member of a carving group in Templeton and Bedford and volunteered for many Veterans’ fund raising groups.      Bob leaves his five children, Rowene Anthony, Helena Hall and Mark Anthony, all of NH, Robert Anthony of ME, Jessica Campbell of Royalston, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and his good friends and neighbors, Tim and Tracie Wright.   He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.      At Bob’s request there are no formal funeral services planned.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.   If you wish to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
