Gardner-Robert “Bob” James Breau, 51, died Friday, October 28, 2022, unexpectedly.
He leaves his mother, Marjorie (Pierce) Debasitis; one brother. John Breau and his wife Marybeth of Orange; one sister, Kyrstal Robichaud and her husband Joshua of Gardner; one uncle Charles Pierce of Derry, NH; his best friend, Ken Purdie and many cousins.
Bob was born in Gardner on December 11, 1970 a son of the late Edward John Breau.
In Bob’s youth he played street hockey, which his dad coached. He also played ice hockey and was very involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Bob was a member of the Order of the Arrow and attended the 1985 Boy Scout Jamboree. He was a 1989 graduate of Gardner High School.
He worked as a bus driver for AA Transportation in Shrewsbury for many years driving school and charter buses, a job he truly enjoyed. He owned two Harley’s that were his babies, He was a member of the Leominster Harley Club. He enjoyed going to the Monadnock Speedway, NASCAR: all of the New England sports teams and was an avid wrestling fan. He always kept up on what was going on in the news and the stock market. He also liked going on Bike tours; arranging for annual Bingo trips to Foxwoods and traveling to find new places to eat.
Bob had a great passion for meeting and talking with people. His favorite holiday was Christmas, he made it a point to make sure all of family, friends and co-workers received a Christmas card every year; because he was a kind and thoughtful man.
His greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob’s funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
There will be a calling hour from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.
Following the burial at St. John’s Cemetery, there will be a celebration of Bob’s life from 12Noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Gardner, Elks Club, 31 Park Street, Gardner, MA 01440
