ATHOL - Robert E. Lillie, Jr., 76, of Athol, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at home. Mr. Lillie was born November 19, 1940 in Gardner, the son of the late Robert E. Sr. and the late Marion (Hastings) Lillie. He served in the Air Force in the Vietnam War from 1960-1964. He was employed by the L.S. Starrett Tool Co. as a grinder. Robert had previously worked at G.E. He enjoyed walking, feeding birds and his house plants, and going on the computer. He is survived by two sisters: Betty Minty & Barbara Strom & her husband Robert, all of Athol; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange with Rev. Jay Lillie officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. A calling hour will be Wednesday, May 24 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home.
